A major six-acre town centre regeneration site in Sutton
The site is located north of the High Street in Sutton.
Foodstore let to J Sainsbury. Retail units let to Costa Coffee and Magnet.
In January 2014, the Group obtained planning permission for a comprehensive mixed-use development of this six-acre town centre site. The proposals include a 93,000 sq ft foodstore pre-let to Sainsbury’s, 186 residential units and 27,500 sq ft of retail / A3 uses. Linden Homes acquired the residential element of the scheme from the Group for £12.5m in June 2015. Linden have part completed this element of development with Block B being occupied in December 2016 and Block C due for completion in Spring 2017. In December 2016, Sainsbury’s opened the supermarket. The supermarket investment has been acquired by Lime Property Fund (part of the Aviva Group). The Group’s only remaining interest in the scheme is the 27,500 of ground floor space beneath the residential blocks which front onto a new public square.
